Eriksen has been chief operating officer at the company since 2012. He takes up the chief executive role on 1^st March.

Aasrud, who has held the role of chief executive for six years, has decided to retire.

Henning Hansen, chair of Norstat’s board, said: “The board of directors have worked with the transition over a period of time, and spent considerable time with both external and internal candidates.

“Erling has extensive experience within the industry and a long and successful journey with Norstat.
