Two more sign up for Rentrak’s local TV ratings service
Sinclair, which owns, operates or provides sales services to 58 television stations in 35 markets, has inked a deal to source StationView data for seven channels across four markets. The Lin deal, meanwhile, covers the WWHO station in Ohio.
Steve Marks, chief operating officer at Sinclair’s television group, said: “When Rentrak approached Sinclair about participating in this industry-leading trial we knew we had to participate to accomplish two things: advance the state of measurement and analytics for the television industry, and to have access to highly detailed information with which to better manage our stations.”
Sinclair and Lin join Sunflower Broadcasting, which was the first to sign to the service following its launch in mid-December.
