Clifford (pictured) will oversee all aspects of finance including financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, and investor relations, as well as strategic planning and corporate development.
She was previously at design software company, Autodesk, for 13 years – most recently as vice-president of financial planning and analysis. While at Autodesk, Clifford led finance during the company’s strategic business model transformation into a growing, highly profitable large cap business. She has also worked at Virage and Ernst & Young.
Clifford is taking over from Tim Maly, who announced that he was retiring in February after 10 years in the role.
Zander Lurie, chief executive officer at SurveyMonkey, said: “Debbie is a highly respected finance executive whose leadership and operational rigour will be critical as we accelerate our enterprise and international expansion efforts. As one of the key architects of Autodesk’s SaaS transformation, Debbie’s experience and skill-set will complement our seasoned executive team as we deepen our relationships with thousands of enterprise customers with new products and growth strategies.”
