Black & Veatch launches Atonix Digital

US – Engineering, construction and consulting company Black & Veatch has announced the launch of Atonix Digital to provide data-driven infrastructure solutions.

Based in Overland Park, Kansas, the new wholly-owned subsidiary will focus on software development, sales and delivery, and analytics through a proprietary data analytics platform developed by Black & Veatch. It will serve the firm’s clients, including companies managing power, water, smart city, oil and gas and communications resources.

Steve Edwards, chairman and chief executive of Black & Veatch, said: "Software and data analytics are playing critical roles in the development of more distributed, interconnected and intelligent infrastructure in markets around the world."

He added that the launch of Atonix Digital will allow the company to "better capitalise on emerging business opportunities" and "develop new skills, roles and growth specific to the software market".
