Forrester leaves Unruly for Whalar
In the newly created role of senior vice-president, research & analytics at Whalar, Forrester (pictured) will report to chief strategy officer, Luke Townsin.
Forrester joined Unruly in 2012 as global insight lead. Prior to that he’d spent four years at Sony Pictures Entertainment as well as working client-side with L’Oreal, Nestle and Tate & Lyle.
Whalar was launched in 2016 by Neil Waller and James Street with BBH-founder, Sir John Hegarty, as its chairman. It currently employs 70 people worldwide, with offices in the UK, US, Singapore, The Netherlands, and one planned for Germany.
Forrester said: “There is so much opportunity in this space. None of the big questions, such as ‘what makes great influencer content?', ‘how do I select the best influencer for my campaign?’ have been properly answered and I find the challenge of having a big problem to solve and a blank piece of paper massively exciting. We are already producing stunning work, we have a young, super-smart team, and inspirational CEO in Neil Waller.”
