In his new role, Livermore (pictured) will be tasked with building a new strategy consulting offer.

Livermore has also been senior strategist at Saatchi & Saatchi Fallon, after having served in the Labour government for 10 years: as chief strategy adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, then as director of strategy to the Prime Minister.

“Spencer’s appointment is a huge coup for Britain Thinks," said founding partner Deborah Mattinson. "His experience is unparalleled and will be immensely valuable to our clients. We have always sought to lead the industry in the quality of our insight and our level of innovation and creative thinking.

"Now, Spencer’s role will be to develop our strategic capability and take it to a new level, enabling us not only to provide outstanding insight for our clients, but to develop strategies to help them achieve their goals.”
