Nichols Research SVP Mermelstein elected MRII president

US – The Market Research Institute International (MRII) has elected Michael Mermelstein, executive vice president of Nichols Research, as its board president for 2020.

Mermelstein finished a two-year term as MRII’s treasurer in 2018. He succeeds Dan Coates, president and co-founder of Ypulse, who will now serve one year as immediate past president.

The MRII board has also elected Stephanie Harris, research consultant and board member, as president-elect. Harris has been part of the curriculum committee since 2016 and is the current committee chair.

Jamin Brazil, Anthony Jackel, Roddy Knowles and Elizabeth Merrick May were also elected to the board.

Mermelstein said: “MRII has long been and continues to be the gold standard in teaching the core body of knowledge and principles needed to be successful in the market research profession. I am very proud to be part of this programme and look forward to a year of continuing to provide a world-class education to those in our profession.”
