Research Defender makes promotions
The New Orleans-based company has promoted Teal Canady, who has been with Research Defender since 2019, from the role of director data architecture to vice-president of technology.
Prior to joining Research Defender, Canady was a data engineer at Lucid.
Research Defender has also promoted Dan Fletcher from the role of executive director of operations to vice-president of operations.
Like Canady, Fletcher joined Research Defender from Lucid, where he spent seven years in various senior customer-facing and operations roles.
The firm has also appointed recent graduate Josh Roberts as an operations analyst. Roberts has been working as an analyst at a non-profit serving those with mental illness.
Vignesh Krishnan, founder and chief executive at Research Defender, said: “Continuing on our mission to provide the best technology in the industry to combat fraudulent respondents and responses in online research, it starts with the best people and these promotions and new hire are just the next step in our growth.”
Research Defender, previously known as SampleChain, was founded in 2018.
The company’s tools and services are used to prevent sample fraud and duplication, exclude ‘professional respondents’, analyse open-ended responses for negative attributes and prevent bad actors from joining a panel.
