Revelation hires Hornor as lead methodologist

US— Online qualitative research specialist Revelation has appointed Jim Hornor as its lead methodologist. He joins after two and a half years as Gravitytank’s chief research associate.

Hornor will lead the company’s methodology practice with a focus on innovations in online and mobile practices.

At Gravitytank he designed and led research programmes on mobile phone studies, contextual interviews, workshops and consumer labs. He was also an adviser to dScout, a web and mobile service which helps brands engage customers and turn findings into insights, where he designed, implemented and analysed mobile research programmes.

“Creatively advancing research methodology and practice has always been core to the success of Revelation’s qualitative platform. Jim’s background in design research, psychology and theater is perfectly suited to help Revelation push the envelope so our customers get the more out of their online and mobile research,” said Steve August, founder and CEO.
