Starcount bought H&D Ventures, owned by Tesco clubcard creators Edwina Dunn and Clive Humby in 2013. Both Dunn and Humby took a stake in the business as well as joining the Starcount board. Their former colleague Yates will now support them as they take the business to the next stage of growth.

Yates has formerly been CEO of Johnson & Johnson, Asia Pacific, and has held a number of senior roles at Procter & Gamble.

Dunn commented: “We are delighted to welcome Mick to Starcount, where he brings a wealth of strategic insight, customer experience and leadership values to the business.

“He was an integral part of the dunnhumby leadership team, driving the international growth of the business. It is fantastic to have him on board with a clear vision for Starcount as we enter an exciting new chapter for the business.”
