Virginia Monk to take over as MRBA chair
Brace has spent almost 20 years as chair of the MRBA, and is also a trustee of the charity. He will stand down from both positions at the association’s AGM in September.
Monk (pictured) will take over from Brace at the AGM. Monk was previously managing director of Motif, which was acquired by Savanta last year, and she is now a consulting adviser at Savanta.
Brace wrote in an email announcing the departure: “After nearly 20 years as chair it is time for new blood and new ideas to lead the Association. I shall of course be sorry to be no longer closely involved with the running of MRBA, but I know that it will be in good hands.
“One ongoing challenge will continue, which is creating and maintaining ongoing awareness across the sector at the point of need. This has been a constant theme during my time in office and is currently the subject of a real push to try to make progress. Several corporate patrons and other supporters have been working with us to address how this might be achieved in today’s world, so many thanks to all involved.”
Jenni Perry, who joined the MRBA trustee board and management committee in 2018, is also stepping down to focus on launching a new business.
MRBA provides financial help, support and advice to UK-based individuals who work or have worked in market research.
