Apollo Intelligence buys GlocalMind
Founded in 2010, with teams in the US, Europe, and India, GlocalMind offers access to 1.5 million healthcare professionals (HCPs) across around 80 specialisms, in addition to opinion leaders, in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
The deal will expand Apollo’s global reach and operations in healthcare and life science market insights. The financial terms have not been disclosed.
Through the acquisition, Apollo adds GlocalMind’s real-time panel sourcing network and recruiting to its platform, bolstering its panel access to HCPs and opinion leaders.
GlocalMind’s India research operations team will become part of Apollo’s global operations, affording reporting and project management support to clients.
GlocalMind’s founder Sandeep Sankhla and principal Vrinda Deval will join the Apollo leadership team following the acquisition, and Apollo will retain the GlocalMind brand ‘for the foreseeable future’.
Apollo, part of Frazier Healthcare Partners, launched in 2019 with the acquisition of InCrowd, a provider of automated insights for life sciences, followed in 2020 by its purchase of healthcare data collection firm Survey Healthcare Global.
Headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, Apollo employs around 300 people and operates in 13 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia, working with pharmaceutical and healthcare brands, market research agencies and consultancies.
Daniel Fitzgerald, chief executive and president, Apollo (pictured), said: “GlocalMind is a respected brand in our space and aligns with our commitment to tech-enabled innovation.”
Fitzgerald added that the acquisition of GlocalMind would “optimise time and efficiency for clients”.
Sandeep Sankhla, founder of GlocalMind, said: “The GlocalMind team is thrilled to join Apollo and partner in pursuit of its bold vision, offering expanded and best in class services and solutions to new clients as part of the Apollo team. Together, we can accelerate our success and impact on the life sciences and healthcare industry.”
