Axa’s Alcantara joins the Lending Standards Board
Alcantara (pictured) will play a central role in the LSB’s strategy for 2024-27 and the transformation of the independent body’s assurance and insight functions.
In addition to being responsible for working with financial services providers registered with the LSB to assure their implementation of the LSB’s standards and codes, Alcantara will oversee its innovation and insight workstreams.
Prior to joining the LSB, Alcantara was strategic customer insight lead for UK and Ireland at Axa, and he has previously worked at Co-Op Insurance and O2. Part of the MRS Delphi Group, he was also a judge of the Research Live awards in 2024.
Anna Roughley, deputy chief executive, LSB, said: “Our pioneering standards and codes are at the heart of the LSB’s work, helping build confidence and trust for registered financial services providers and their customers.
“Patrick’s experience makes him the perfect person to use the data and evidence we have to develop actionable insights for the financial services sector which can help anticipate and navigate emerging risks – or highlight opportunities for innovation.”
Alcantara said: “The LSB’s clear sense of purpose and commitment to driving better outcomes for customers across the financial services sector was a real draw for me – as an organisation, the LSB has a significant, positive impact. I’m looking forward to helping put the LSB’s new strategy into practice and making sure our insights are put to use by financial services providers.”
