Behavioural Insights Team expands territories
These new offices are in addition to the Nudge Unit’s current operations in London and New York.
The Manchester office opened in May and is already working with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the NHS; while the Singapore office will open in September.
The Manchester team is headed by Felicity Algate, previously director for consumers, sustainability and local government in London. She said: “The devolution deal with Manchester presents an amazing opportunity to apply behavioural insights at a regional level across a range of policy areas – from health to justice. Creating this new office in Manchester will help us generate significant social impact in an area outside London and the South East.”
Samuel Hanes (pictured) will head BIT Singapore. He joined the organisation soon after it was set up in 2010 as its first economist. He’d previously been at the Home Office.
In Sydney, BIT is doubling its office, and the team will work closely with Singapore on Asian Pacific projects. Rory Gallagher, managing director Australia & Asia-Pacific will also oversee Singapore.
