Brandwatch bolsters senior team

UK – Consumer intelligence company Brandwatch has made new senior customer, sales and finance appointments within its executive team and added to its board.

The company has appointed Eva Klein as chief customer officer. Most recently leading customer success at HubSpot, Klein has also led global teams at Constant Contact, Invoca, Enservio and FatWallet.

Also on the executive team, Dan Freund has joined Brandwatch as chief sales officer. Previously working in the same role at QuickBase, he also worked at Oracle for 16 years, leading the OracleDirect division.

Ian Collins was also appointed as chief financial officer earlier in the year. He has previously held financial leadership positions at Christie’s, Twentieth Century Fox and Marv Films.

On the board, Guy Berruyer, who was chief executive of Sage until 2014, has been appointed as chairman. He is also currently chairman of the board for Softomotive.

Fergus Gloster has also joined the board as a non-executive director. Gloster was one of the founders of Salesforce’s European commercial business and European managing director for Marketo.

Brandwatch wants to expand within the consumer intelligence market and beyond its core business of social listening. The appointments follow the company’s merger with Crimson Hexagon in 2018, this year’s acquisition of Qriously and the launch of its consumer research platform.

Giles Palmer, chief executive of Brandwatch, said: “This next chapter for Brandwatch will see more growth and an expansion of our offerings in digital consumer intelligence. We’ve hired executives and non-executives who are capable of running a company many times our size. It’s an ambitious move and the best team I’ve ever worked with. I feel privileged to lead them, and I’m excited to see what we can build to help our customers be more successful.”
