Buyology snaps up EmSense’s Mallardi as marketing leader

US— Mark Mallardi, a senior vice president of the now-defunct EmSense, has joined Martin Lindstrom’s neuromarketing agency Buyology as executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Mallardi was with EmSense from 2009. The neuromarketing research firm ceased trading in the fourth quarter of last year. He is the second high profile executive of the firm to find a new role after strategy and analytics chief Elissa Moses joined Ipsos as executive vice president of neuroscience and emotion.

Buyology, based in New York, was co-founded by Lindstrom – author of the book Buyology – and Gary Singer, who is CEO. Lindstrom is chairman of the board of directors.
