CCS to introduce new research procurement solution
The solution will cover the full range of services and capabilities required by central government and associated bodies in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It will also provide for the requirements of the wider public sector including education, health, local government, housing, policing, third sector voluntary and charity bodies and other not-for-profit organisations.
According to the announcement, interested agencies would be expected to provide an extensive range of services and capabilities to help the government "engage with society, improving its understanding of attitudes and the impact of policies".
They would also be expected to have access to capability and knowledge in policy areas of concern to the government and the public sector, including but not limited to: labour, poverty and population demographics; pensions; taxation; benefits; defence, security and policing; education; health, disability and wellbeing; transport and infrastructure.
The Market Research Society is working alongside the CCS, suppliers, and commissioners to ensure that the solution is fit-for-purpose.
More information, including a link to a pre-market engagement survey for interested agencies, can be found here.
