Citigate DVL Smith and Hauck merge to form new business

Citigate DVL Smith and Hauck Research Services – part of the Incepta Group of marketing and communications companies – have merged to create Incepta Marketing Intelligence.

The new combined group includes Hauck companies, Hauck Research International and Viewpoint Field and Studios, and Citigate DVL Smith’s (CDVL) research brands, DVL Smith, Cognition, and New Media House, plus CATI facility, The Wire, US technology specialists Momentum Research Group and London viewing rooms Shoreditch Studios.

CDVL group MD Andy Dexter becomes chief executive of Incepta Marketing Intelligence, while chairman David Smith becomes chairman of the new business. Hauck Research International’s CEO Liz Hauck becomes deputy chairman.

DVL Smith and Hauck joined the Incepta Group in July 2000 and October 2001 respectively.

The various businesses and company brands within the group will continue to be run separately, reporting to the new board. Incepta Marketing Intelligence will launch on 1 March 2004.
