ComRes operations chief sets departure for post-election business launch
Baker (pictured) will leave the firm on 6 May to launch Guide Public Affairs after spending four years at ComRes. Caroline Lawes and Tom Black will be moved up from their research team management roles to replace him.
The firm’s founder and executive chairman Andrew Hawkins said: “Over the past four years, Greig has played a major role in ComRes’s continuing growth through all economic conditions. He has helped us to promote our ethos of integrity and high quality delivery, and to position the company to take full advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead. I’m sure he will use the same drive to enjoy similar success in the future.”
Chief executive Peter Harlock added: “It is always sad when good colleagues move on but it is of course inevitable as people step up to the next challenge in their careers. Fortunately we have lots of talent internally and it will be a natural step for Caroline and Tom to take on those responsibilities on a permanent basis.”
Baker joined the firm in 2006 after working in Parliament and with the British Army’s Military Intelligence Corps.
