Confirmit and FocusVision hires COO

UK/NORWAY/US – Recently-merged research technology firms Confirmit and FocusVision have appointed Giles Whiting as chief operating officer (COO).

Whiting (pictured) has been COO and managing director at Confirmit since August 2020. His previous roles include managing director of Medallia and at GW Ventures and SoftBank Group.

Confirmit and FocusVision has also confirmed that Christopher Nagy will be global president and chief financial officer (CFO). He was appointed as president and CFO earlier this month on completion of the merger.

Nagy was previously chief executive of FocusVision and has also acted as the company’s CFO in his more than three years with the firm.

Confirmit and FocusVision completed a merger earlier this month, and are aiming to launch new branding and strategy in the second quarter of 2021.

Kyle Ferguson, chief executive of Confirmit and FocusVision, said: “With careers that together span several decades and draw from financial services, data and technology companies, Chris and Giles bring incredible experience and knowledge to our new business and leadership team.”
