Dentsu buys Vietnam media agency

JAPAN – Dentsu is to acquire digital media agency Ambient Digital Vietnam and rename it to become part of iProspect.

Ho chi minh

Founded in 2010 by Thu Nguyen and Andrew Stevens and based in Ho Chi Minh City, Ambient Digital Vietnam has 95 staff and focuses on digital planning and buying.

The company will be rebranded as iProspect, launching the performance marketing agency in Vietnam. Dentsu said the combination of Ambient’s data solutions and iProspect’s performance and search would lead to “highly competitive capabilities” and scale the Dentsu full-service business in the South East Asia market.

Dentsu is taking a 100% stake in Ambient Digital, but the value of the transaction was not disclosed.
