Echometrix receives $2m investment

US— Investment house Rock Island Capital has invested $2m into marketing intelligence software provider Echometrix through the purchase of stock at $9.09 a share.

Echometrix recently introduced a product called Pulse, which analyses sentiment in online conversations. The tool – which began life as paedophile protection software – has received backing from Paramount, DreamWorks and Fox Broadcasting, and Group M and Mindshare.

The firm’s CEO Jeffrey Greene said: “This investment gives our management team the resources to execute plans to deliver our cutting-edge products and grow our business. Our suite of products and the recent capital infusion allows us to effectively compete in today’s fast-paced digital marketplace.”
