Former STV CEO named chairman at Ebiquity
Woodward (pictured), who was chief executive of media group STV for 10 years until stepping down last year, will succeed Ebiquity chairman Michael Higgins, who is retiring, following the company’s AGM on 9 May.
He will join the company on 1 March, working with group chief executive Michael Karg to drive growth. His appointment follows that of Alan Rutherford, who joined the company as global chairman of media, and Christine Merrifield, who took up the role of managing director of media for North America.
Prior to joining the Scottish broadcaster, Rob was commercial director at Channel 4 for four years. He also previously worked with UBS Corporate Finance and Deloitte’s TMT industry group in Europe. He is currently chairman of Blancco Technology Group PLC.
Ebiquity recently launched a new consultancy practice to advise clients on marketing technology and customer data, and earlier this month the company announced the sale of its advertising intelligence business to Nielsen.
Michael Karg, group chief executive at Ebiquity, said: “Rob is an experienced leader who has an inspiring track record in delivering successful outcomes, which will be invaluable during Ebiquity’s current business transformation. His diverse background also places him in a strong position to help us maintain momentum in helping our clients achieve greater control, transparency and visibility into the performance of their marketing spend.”
