Fuller steps down as Flamingo CEO
Last month, Flamingo Group announced that it was closing seven of its eight offices and consolidating its London operations.
Fuller, who co-founded the agency alongside Maggie Collier, has now announced that she is stepping down from her role, and will be replaced by Lopez with immediate effect.
Lopez is the former CEO of Kantar Public in the UK (formerly TNS BMRB) and former executive director of the WPP Government Practice in the UK.
Fuller said in a statement: “After a 20 year adventure, I am leaving Flamingo.
"It has been a time during which I have grown as a leader, a business partner, a mother, a wife and a daughter. For the best part of 20 years Maggie Collier and I co-led the business we founded together. We remain great friends. We were a great team. We had the privilege of working with the most talented, stimulating and fun people you could imagine. But it is time for change.
"Desirée is a proven agency leader bringing new expertise and a wealth of innovation experience to Flamingo. In the short time I have had the pleasure of working with Desirée in her role as head of behavioural and social strategy, I have witnessed her warmth, intelligence and thirst for new ideas.
"She is uniquely qualified to lead Flamingo in the next stage of its development. I wish her and the team every success.”
Lopez added: “I am delighted to take on the leadership of Flamingo. The quality of work, talent and thinking remains the best in our industry and I look forward to leading the team into the future.”
