‘Get Ready for Brexit’ ad campaign launched
The campaign will run on platforms including TV, outdoor ads and social media. It asks the public to visit the government website (www.gov.uk), which states the UK will leave the EU on 31st October.
Reports have suggested that the campaign will cost up to £100m.
As part of the campaign, which began yesterday ( 1st September), the government has also launched a multiple-choice questionnaire on gov.uk that people can complete to determine what steps, if any, to take.
The survey includes questions such as ‘Do you plan to travel after 31 October 2019?’. The tool then surfaces advice and links to information pages depending on individual circumstances.
The government says it has conducted research showing that only half ( 50%) of the population think it is likely the UK will leave the EU on 31st October. Additionally, 42% of small-to-medium sized businesses are unsure of how to prepare and under a third ( 31%) of the public have sought information on how to prepare, according to the research.
