Goodwin announced as NatCen chief executive
Goodwin will join NatCen on May 3 from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) where he is the director of social and analysis. He is head of profession for statistics at the ONS and UK director of social statistics at the European Union.
Former chief executive Penny Young left the organisation last year to take up the post of House of Commons librarian and director general, Information Services. Phil Doggett was named as interim chief operating officer in April of last year.
"Guy brings dynamic leadership and a passion for serving the public good, as well as a wealth of experience with social surveys, research and analysis," said Professor Sir Bob Burgess, chair of the board of Trustees. "We are very much looking forward to his arrival."
