IRI acquires analytics firm RSi
The deal will add RSi’s supply chain tools to IRI’s technology platform, expanding the company’s supply chain metrics. It will also increase IRI’s repository of deidentified, anonymous consumer data.
RSi’s digital shopper marketing analytics, Ansa, will become part of IRI’s Media Center of Excellence as part of the acquisition.
Established in 2003, RSi offers data tools and services for consumer packaged goods manufacturers and retailers. The company is headquartered in California, with offices in the US and UK.
RSi will initially become a stand-alone operating subsidiary of IRI following the acquisition. The financial terms have not been disclosed.
Baljit Dail, president of IRI Global (pictured), said: “The addition of RSi’s leading solutions to our broader portfolio of offerings will further enhance our robust capabilities and enable retailers and manufacturers to drive tangible ROI and capitalise on opportunities in a dynamic environment.”
Bert Clement, chief executive officer of RSi, added: “IRI is the ideal partner to build upon our existing suite of solutions and enable our clients to further optimise their supply chains.”
