Kantar Retail launches PoweRanking study in UK

UK — Kantar Retail has introduced its PoweRanking study into the UK, 19 years after it launched in the US and four since its China debut.

The study identifies who is considered best in class according to trade partners, providing insight into why they are considered the best and highlighting areas of improvement.

Among the report’s findings for the UK were that Asda was highly commended as the best of the best despite its recent troubles and that manufacturers have faith in Tesco’s return with 74% naming Tesco a ‘power retailer’. Meanwhile discounters Aldi and Lidl also favoured well in the report.
