Kantar reverses closure of Philippines TV ratings
ABS-CBN, a key media client for Kantar in the country, previously ceased operations after the Philippine Congress voted not to renew its broadcasting franchise.
However, the broadcaster has now agreed a deal with Zoe Broadcasting Network to air some of its shows and movies.
Kantar will not go ahead with its planned closure of its TV ratings service and will retain the majority of its existing staff in the Philippines, who were originally scheduled to leave the company by the end of December 2020.
The company has also announced that it will no longer operate its advertising spend benchmarking service, AdEx, in the Philippines.
