UK/THE NETHERLANDS – London-headquartered media advisory business Ebiquity has appointed Ruben Schreurs as group chief executive officer, succeeding Nick Waters, who is leaving the business after four years in the role.

Schreurs (pictured), was formerly Ebiquity’s chief strategy officer and chief product officer, having joined the group in 2020 following the acquisition of Digital Decisions, of which he was founder.

Ebiquity said Schreurs, based in the company’s office in the Netherlands, has been a ‘key player’ in expanding the product offer and its market positioning in media intelligence and advisory services. His appointment comes as Ebiquity looks to strengthen its strategic focus and expand in emerging media areas.

The appointment of Schreurs is effective immediately.

Waters has been chief executive at Ebiquity since 2020. He leaves the business to join digital acceleration company Making Science.

Rob Woodward, chair, said: “The board is delighted to appoint Ruben Schreurs as CEO of Ebiquity plc. Ruben’s entrepreneurial background, strategic insight and commitment to client success make him ideally suited to lead the next phase of Ebiquity’s development as we strengthen our strategic focus and expand in emerging media areas.

“The board thanks Nick Waters for his commitment and leadership during the last four years. Nick has led the business during a period of transformation which Ruben will continue. We wish Nick well for the future.”
