Leapfrog restructures management around key verticals

UK— Cello-owned research agency Leapfrog has restructured its senior management team into separate areas – health and wellbeing, retail, and brand, communications and media.

Board directors Rupert Blackwell and Debra Walmsley have been made group directors for brand, comms and media, and retail and engagement research respectively.

Blackwell’s team works with clients including Tesco Personal Finance, ING Direct, First Drinks, Kellogg’s and Magic FM, while Walmsley’s retail customers include Tesco, Carphone Warehouse, HMV and Pizza Express

New board appointee Claire Thomas will take charge of the team working for health clients – among them, GlaxoSmithKline, Kimberley Clark, Bayer and SC Johnson.

Client management and marketing will be overseen at an agency-wide level by Sarah Buckle (pictured, bottom right), who moves up from research director, a role she has held since July 2008.

Leapfrog co-founders Judy Taylor (pictured, top right) and Andrea Berlowitz, alongside commercial director Sue Laing, complete the senior management team.

“We are restructuring in order to continue to align our business with our clients’ needs and to maximise opportunities for growth globally across our major market sectors,” said Taylor.

“Understanding brands and people and the relationship between the two has been the driving force behind Leapfrog’s success, while our bedrock of retail and health and wellbeing clients continues to grow at such a rate that we felt it necessitated a dedicated resource.”
