Leger buys SmartPoint Research
The acquisition will increase the size of Leger’s opinion panel, LEO, supplement its patient and healthcare professional panels, and broaden its healthcare research service offer.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
SmartPoint Research was founded in 2007 and specialises in the consumer and healthcare sectors, working with Canadian, US and international market research companies to offer qualitative and quantitative services.
As part of the acquisition, Sam Rai, president of SmartPoint Research, has been appointed as vice-president of Leger Opinion.
Jean-Marc Léger, founding president and chief executive of Leger (pictured), said: “With over 25 years of experience in consulting and market research, Sam will be an excellent addition to lead our Leger Opinion team in Toronto.”
Rai said: “I look forward to sharing LEO’s products and services with the global market, along with further expanding the team in Toronto.”
