McIntosh was formerly the chief strategy officer and will continue with his previous responsibilities alongside his new role.

He has been at YouGov since 2007 and has held several key positions; initially as corporate finance manager before joining the innovations department where he developed the group’s strategic direction alongside YouGov’s global CEO and co-founder, Stephan Shakespeare.

More recently he helped form YouGov’s Data Intelligence Unit and was promoted to chief strategy officer in 2014. He led the development of YouGov Profiles, the media planning and audience segmentation tool for brands and their agencies.

An accountant as CEO - that's not a traditional formula for success in the MR business. I'm not sure the troops will welcome this appointment with open arms.
