Merkle’s HelloWorld adds insights head

US – Merkle-owned digital marketing firm HelloWorld has appointed James Riess as senior vice-president, head of strategy & insights for promotions & loyalty solutions.

Based in New York, he will report to Chris Wayman, executive vice-president, general manager, client services.

Riess (pictured) was previously senior vice-president, client services at Epsilon. He has worked across multiple industries including B2B high-tech, wireless, entertainment, financial services, CPG, and retail. Among the companies he’s worked at are Digitas, Wunderman, Havas and InMobi.

Wayman said: “HelloWorld’s strategy & insights practice has experienced explosive growth over the past few years as brands place a high emphasis on loyalty and customer experience. To bolster our momentum, we sought an experienced, data-driven marketing leader to take our practice forward.”

Riess added: “I am excited to join the team that can address the challenges of modern marketers by delivering data-driven, technology-enabled experiences clients require to compete and grow.”
