MightyHive agrees merger with Orca Pacific
Orca Pacific, which was founded in 2008 by its current chief executive John Ghiorso and is based in Seattle, helps brands with optimising their customer journey and growing their business on online retailer Amazon.
MightyHive is owned by digital advertising and marketing services business S4 Capital, and the merger with Orca Pacific, which has been announced on the London Stock Exchange, will allow the company to build on its current partnership with Amazon.
The merger is S4 Capital’s first since it successfully raised £116m in equity to fund its acquisitions strategy and the third since the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown in March.
Sir Martin Sorrell, executive chairman of S4 Capital, said: “Amazon has become synonymous with ecommerce and it is both an important client and partner for us at S4 Capital. The merger with Orca Pacific allows us to extend that partnership and provide a full range of ecommerce and marketplace services to our clients.
“Stronger partnerships with the key platforms and the leading software and hardware suppliers are increasingly key for our clients and ourselves.”
Ghiorso said: “The dramatic and sustained increase we have seen in ecommerce penetration means clients need experienced sector specialists to help integrate Amazon services into their sales and marketing plans.
“By teaming up with MightyHive, Orca Pacific’s existing bench of advanced Amazon experts is now positioned to offer global capabilities, along with expanded data, creative and media solutions to clients.”
