More funding for mobile ad and analytics firm Medialets

US— Medialets, a mobile advertising and analytics agency, has bagged $5.9m in new funding, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

It marks the company’s second financing round. Its Series A round, led by Foundry Group and DFJ Gotham, raised $4m last May.

Medialets, headed by CEO Eric Litman (pictured), offers a rich media mobile advertising and anaytics platform used by clients including Associated Press, CNN, Esquire Magazine, Photobucket and The Washington Post.

Its principal focus is the Apple iPhone and Google Android platforms, and the company boasts more than 17,000 mobile apps registered for its Medialytics analytics tool.
