NatCen launches deliberative research projects
The projects, which will be run through NatCen’s Centre for Deliberative Research, will focus on policy areas such as health and care, inequalities and climate and travel.
NatCen will carry out a health and care work assembly with the IPPR to consider workforce challenges and decide workforce policy recommendations for the health sector.
The European Climate Foundation will hold a serioes of online workshops with NatCen to explore how low traffic networks can be implemented in ways that are acceptable to the public, and will seek to understand the perspectives of different groups affected by the policy.
NatCen will also conduct up to 20 online workshops for the University of Sheffield’s Systems Science in Public Health and Health Economics Research programme to explore people’s preferences when deciding on policies to address inequalities in health and income.
The Centre for Deliberative Research was officially launched in June 2021, with funders and commissioners including the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, the Economic and Social Research Council, the Women’s Equality Party, UK in a Changing Europe and the Wellcome Trust.
