New business The Research Heads launches

US – Three former 2CV researchers have founded insights agency The Research Heads, headquartered in San Francisco.

Amy Spencer, Karine Pepin and Nikolitsa Siegel have established the business, which will conduct qual and quant research, with a focus on working with brands to use insights as ‘bite-sized research assets’.

Spencer was previously head of qual and co-head of US operations at 2CV, where she spent over 17 years. Pepin was at 2CV for 14 years, most recently as head of quant, and co-led the US office with Spencer until earlier this year, while Siegel spent over 13 years as research director at the agency.

During their careers, the three have worked with brands across sectors including technology, entertainment, gaming and retail.

The founders said they have established The Research Heads with the aim of finding ‘the sweet spot between DIY research and full-service agencies’. Services include consulting and design, research execution, analytics and training.

Based in San Francisco, the company has a network of partners around the world. 

The founders of The Research Heads said: “We’re nimble thought partners without the overhead, focused on proving the value of the research. Turning insights into action is the real game-changer. We trade dusty reports for modern, snackable content.”
