UK – Public policy evidence and advisory business Verian has launched seven centres of excellence and promoted 14 UK employees.

The company, formerly part of Kantar, has developed the centres of excellence in response to the UK government’s new mission-based approach.

The new centres are: mission delivery; value for money; democratic engagement; sustainability and critical infrastructure; justice and safety; opportunity and growth; and public health and wellbeing.

Craig Watkins, UK chief executive, Verian, said: “We have created these centres specifically to integrate across our existing teams. This will ensure that we can continue to best support our clients’ priorities and the UK’s new government’s mission-based approach to delivery.

“Our approach builds on our existing success and structures and will enable us to better serve our clients, bringing them the latest innovations from across the globe and helping them to understand and connect with citizens to tackle the range of policy challenges faced by the UK.”

Among the 14 promotions made by Verian, Kathy DiPrincipe becomes senior director in the behavioural and communications team and Adam Knight-Markiegi becomes a director in the evaluation practice, while Adam Ozer is promoted to senior data scientist within the data science team.

The company has also made several other other promotions across all levels including to senior research executive (Mimi Aram-Walker, Bryony Butcher, Helen Kenney), research manager (Nick Bull, Sanjeev Devarajan, James Smith) and associate director (Rebecca Lambrou, John Morris, Rebecca Steer, Monisha Walsh, Daniel Hodgkin).

Watkins said: “It is a huge pleasure and a source of pride to see the hard work and progress of our colleagues being recognised and rewarded. Our recent promotions demonstrate Verian’s continued growth and success. We are committed to nurturing and supporting our people to develop their talent and enable them to continue delivering high quality work for our clients.”
