Nielsen adds to board of directors
Castro is founder and chief executive officer of investment company El Dorado Capital. He founded the largest Hispanic-focused radio company in the US, and was a member of the special committee of independent directors that negotiated the separation transaction of Time Warner Cable and Time Warner Inc in 2014. He has previously been a member of Nielsen’s external advisory board.
Marinelli joins the board after 34 years at The Walt Disney Company, where she led the team responsible for programme sales operations and distribution of direct-to-consumer apps to global accounts and broadcasting partners worldwide.
David Kenny, chief executive officer at Nielsen, said: "Tom and Janice both bring tremendous experience to the board. As media veterans, they both have a thorough understanding of how the landscape has changed as well as a clear vision as to where it is going."
Both join the board effective from 18th February.
Last month, Nielsen appointed David Rawlinson as chief executive of Nielsen Global Connect and Linda Zukauckas as chief financial officer.
