Nielsen Global Connect hires IBM exec as CMO
Woods (pictured) was previously chief marketing officer for the IBM Partner Ecosystem, and before that she was CMO of IBM Global Financing. Prior to joining IBM in 2010, she held senior roles at General Electric and Oracle.
Earlier this month, Nielsen announced it would spin-off its Global Connect business and create two companies – the Global Media business and the Global Connect business – following a strategic review.
Woods will lead all aspects of global marketing and support Nielsen Global Connect as it becomes an independent, publicly traded company. She will report to Nielsen Global Connect chief commercial officer, Pat Dodd.
Dodd said: “Jacqueline is a marketing powerhouse in the technology sector whose background and experience will help our company accelerate our tech transformation. We are inspired by her proven successes at IBM, Oracle, GE, Verizon, and other Fortune 500 companies, and we are looking forward to modernising our marketing approach under Jacqueline’s guidance.”
