Non-exec chairman David Marshall to step down at Creston

UK— David Marshall is to step down next year from his position as non-executive chairman at research and marketing services group Creston.

Marshall (pictured), served as chairman of the group between 1984 and 1993, before taking the non-executive role in 1999. He will stay with Creston as a non-executive director after the handover date of 1 April.

He will be replaced as chairman by David Grigson, who has joined the board in the interim as non-executive director and chairman-elect.

Grigson has spent 25 years working in the media sector, and has held roles at Reuters, Emap and Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was responsible for building the firm’s consulting group.

Creston’s senior non-executive director Malcolm Wall said: “I am delighted to welcome David to the board of Creston and very much look forward to working closely with him in the months ahead as we transition the chairmanship of the group. He has high-level media experience that will be invaluable for Creston’s next stage of development.”

Wall also praised Marshall’s performance, saying he had “guided the company extremely well” during his tenure. Creston owns the research agencies ICM and Marketing Sciences.
