O'Grady named as Nielsen Catalina CEO
O'Grady has been with Nielsen for more than 15 years – he most recently served as executive vice president and managing director of local media, where he was responsible for strategy and development for Nielsen’s local television and audio clients.
"Matt is a world-class leader," said Nielsen chief operating officer Steve Hasker. "His experience and expertise in media, advertising and performance management make him uniquely positioned to take on the CEO role and drive performance and innovation for Nielsen Catalina Solutions and its clients."
NCS is a joint venture between Nielsen and Catalina Marketing to provide consumer packaged goods and media companies with measurement tools to link consumers’ buying behaviour with their exposure to marketing materials. It was formed in 2009 and Nielsen assumed majority ownership in 2015.
