ORC International buys consumer specialist MRSI
MRSI will become part of ORC’s consumer practice, with MRSI president Todd Earhart in charge of the merged division.
Prior to the acquisition, MRSI was part of the MVL Group, which also own focus group video technology provider ActiveGroup, Carbonview, Focalytic and Quick Test/Heakin.
Commenting on the ORC deal, Earhart said: “The combination of MRSI’s long-standing expertise and clients in the consumer space coupled with ORC International’s breadth of capabilities both domestically and internationally now gives us the resources and scale to grow the practice globally and provide expanded services to our clients.”
ORC is headed by president and CEO Marc Litvinoff (pictured), who led a private equity-backed management buyout of ORC from parent company Infogroup in July 2011.
He said: “Strategically, MRSI is a great fit for ORC International. This is a major step toward our goal of expanding our consumer research solutions and offering enhanced services to our clients. I look forward to the positive impact the acquisition will bring.”
