Press Index becomes part of Kantar Media after acquisition

FRANCE — Media intelligence and monitoring firm Press Index has become part of Kantar Media, following its acquisition by Kantar parent company WPP earlier this week.

Press Index will continue to operate under its own brand but Walter Patanella, COO of Press Index will report to Jean-Michel Portail (pictured), CEO of Kantar Media Intelligence Europe.

“With Press Index, we will be strengthening our position as a European leader and complementing our portfolio of multimedia solutions,” Portail said.

“The new combined entity will enable us to offer solutions that meet the needs of all kinds of clients, including PR agencies, brands and institutions. With teams on the ground in the main European markets (Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Ireland) our clients will have access to an all-new international offering and unparalleled geographical coverage.”
