The funding was led by Index ventures with support from Earlybird Ventures, the firm that led Socialbakers’ previous $2m round of fundraising in October last year.

Since the last round of funding, the firm – led by Jan Rezab (pictured) - has grown its headcount to more than 160 staff and has offices in 10 countries around the world.

Rezab said: “With this funding, we will continue building our platform’s social measurement features to help companies target their audiences more efficiently, while allowing them to react quickly to the ever-changing social media environment and providing dedicated global care to address their individual needs.”
