Pulsar develops search tool for public opinion
‘Narratives AI’ analyses posts and stories from social and news media and processes real-time and historical data.
Aimed at strategists, marketers, researchers and communications professionals, the tool’s objective is to help them understand what is shaping public opinion, uncover the beliefs taking hold, and predict which behaviours will emerge.
Users of the tool can conduct searches via an interface that’s similar to using an online search engine, according to the company.
Francesco D'Orazio, founder and president of Pulsar (pictured), said the tool combines quantitative and qualitative, adding: “It captures the direction of travel and puts a number on it".
Pulsar previewed ‘Narratives AI’ at CES and SXSW 2025 with partner McCann Worldgroup.
Elly Dembo, senior vice-president, global head of data and intelligence at McCann Worldgroup, said the tool offers “unbiased categorisation of broad cultural narratives, without the limitations of traditional boolean queries”.
