Research 2000 website goes ‘offline’ following legal action
Anyone trying to visit www.research2000.us are now redirected to the Wikipedia page on opinion polling (as pictured) – though the redirect may be the work of hackers, rather than the site’s owners.
The Daily Kos filed its suit last week after a trio of statisticians raised question marks over the reliability of Research 2000’s work.
The polling firm’s president Del Ali told Research he had no comment to make when contacted last week but then went on to fire a broadside in a statement to a blog later in the week, denouncing The Daily Kos’ claims as “crap” and “pure lies”.
