Rival Technologies expands sales teams

CANADA – Mobile messaging-based research company Rival Technologies has made three appointments as it expands its customer success and sales teams.

Sal Rustom (pictured) has joined in the newly-created role of director of business development. He was previously ay Maru/Blue and Maru/Matchbox.

Rustom will lead Rival Technologies’ business development representatives, and is based in Toronto.

Brett Henderson has been appointed as senior customer success manager, and was most recently director of customer success at Medallia.

Henderson also has experience working with Ipsos Reid, Vision Critical, ResponseTek and LivingLens, and is also based in Toronto.

Donald Ross has been hired as a customer success manager, and previously held community management and customer success roles at Maru/Matchbox and Vision Critical. He is based in Vancouver.

Andrew Reid, chief executive and founder of Rival Technologies, said: “Since Covid-19 started, we’ve seen more companies make the switch from traditional, email-based research techniques to conversational, mobile messaging-based technology.

“The expansion of our sales and customer success team will enable us to meet the growing demand for our platform in the market while providing the best possible customer experience to both new and existing clients.”
