Synovate appoints automotive head for China

CHINA— Synovate has appointed Klaus Paur as managing director of Synovate Motoresearch, its automotive research group, in Greater China and Korea.

The appointment is in anticipation of strong growth in China’s automotive industry, which is now the largest in the world.

Paur began his automotive research career in 1995 at Sofres in Paris, and came to Shanghai in 2003 to head TNS’s Chinese automotive research practice. He is set to join Synovate in January 2011.

Eliza Wong, CEO for Synovate Greater China, said: “Klaus’s proven record in the North Asia region and his international expertise will be a priceless addition to our automotive research business.”
